ARTIST BIO

Mark Bagally is a full-time artist living in Torquay, Victoria now pretty much devoting all his time in pursuit of oil painting along with occasionally experimenting and engaging in other artistic endeavours. His work has been descibed as "Realism".

His particular passion, at the moment, is seascapes/landscapes in oil for which he is gaining some notoriety and acclaim. His work depicts a moodiness and can instil a sense of calm in the audience, particularly with his larger paintings. He has recently been experimenting in watercolour and also venturing into portraiture in oil. This year (2019) he won a National Contemporary Art Award for his first self-portrait in oil.

Mark sits on several art related committees including Surfcoast Arts Inc and Surfcoast Arts Trail Committee run by the local shire.

Mark's commissions have included old farm houses; residential houses and particular coastal and rural scenes. He uses various social media platforms to engage his audience including Facebook (Art61); YouTube (markbagallyart61)
